AI is shaping up to be the ultimate sidekick in freight for those willing to embrace its capabilities, and agents are quickly emerging as the next big thing in artificial intelligence. On this episode of The Intermodal Logistics Podcast, Peter Qian, CEO of Ventus AI, joins us to break down exactly how companies (ourselves at InTek included) can and do put AI agents to work.
For Ventus - which focuses on transportation and logistics companies - Peter explains how the real magic happens when these agents take on the not-so-glamorous, behind-the-scenes tasks nobody actually wants to do. That means things like data entry, invoicing, etc. - necessary tasks to keep a business running smoothly but tasks that can be a major time-suck for employees.
Peter doesn’t just talk tech (though he does some of that, too) - he also offers real-world use cases, including a look at one way InTek Logistics leverages these agents. He also demystifies what agents actually do and explains how Ventus uses the human element to train them and ensure accuracy.
Speaking of the human element, Peter shares his perspective on the future of logistics jobs: AI isn’t here to replace people. Instead, it’s freeing up teams so they can focus on building authentic customer relationships and delivering great service, rather than getting stuck in a cycle of repetitive grunt work that AI can simply do faster.
We also discuss how AI agents can scale for companies of various size and markets that can fluctuate like freight shipping. And Peter explains how his business protects proprietary data for those (rightfully) concerned with security. Learn more about Peter and Ventus at www.ventus.ai.
